I agree with you... Some people say that GIA is PFT but it doesn't matter where you go your going to pay for some sort of training. It doesn't matter where you go as long as you get where you want to be which is to a good airline where you get paid good money.
PFT only existed one time in this industry, and it was back in the early to mid '90's. That was when dorks would fork out $10K of daddy's money to buy themselves a job at a commuter airline. They bypassed a lot of people by paying the airline for their training. Also, it was their checkbooks and not their skill that got them employment. Most of them are now either furloughed and working at Popeye's Chicken, or still stuck at the commuter level complaining to whoever will listen.
