This BS about having to sit by a computer to make what others make flying their regular schedule is absurd. We’ve (somewhat) normalized this type of behavior and the company expects it now. This is part of the reason why they’re fighting so hard on this hill.
Did you guys hear about one of our ~20-yr CA's whose 27-year old son got hired at Delta last year, was awarded a 75/76 line for next month, and will be making more than his father?
I know, I know ... "There's a reason upgrades go junior at DL." "They have PBS." "Our flexibility is industry-leading." "Who'd want to live in a DL base?" "You'd have to pay me a lot more than to put up with flying for the double-breasted mafia." "No one has cooler pilots than we do."
Yep, I know all of that.
But dang.
