well, on FO pay I guess a Bose is out of the question but we do have headsets in the cockpit (DC's usually). I VERY rarely see anyone use them so they are mostly new. If money is an issue you can just use these....also usually have some cleaning wipes up front to wipe them down.
The flight deck is fairly quiet and don't see an issue with noise if that is your worry. I think the most noise I get is from the feedback in the intercom system.... if you and the other guy turn off the hot mike it is very quiet with any headset.

Now trying to go without a headset...that is slightly noisy
