I don't recall the ATI CBA very well in details, but I thought there was a provision if you had a layover within (60 miles I think?) of your self-designated gateway you were not entitled to a hotel room. Of course this could be old stuff....or I just don't recall the actual details. If correct, you might get to go home by the no choice default! Check with someone for sure.
