speaking personally here, why is it so important to be a captain asap? Maybe you have 10,000hrs of command time in a C-5 or really like flying with your left hand, I dunno. 98% of our captains are phenomenal and being a (lineholding) FO here will be a great job if this AIP becomes contractual.

Also nobody knows if the currently prevailing upgrade availability will still exist in 12 months.
