I know this guy is a company man, but for others who read this dribble and wonder “What has the company done?”, here is the short version:
We get paid 60% of what Spirit pilots make. This despite flying the richest people on the planet. Our duty days are crazy long and while on duty we wear many hats. We do a lot more then get to the plane and turn left.
The problem isn’t what the company has done, it’s what they gleefully keep doing… making huge profits while creating more work for their crews who are getting paid less and less compared to their peers.
It is the way it has always been, and it is the way it will always be. You will never get paid properly for the amount of work you do. Keep fighting for the stars and get what you can but the job will never get easier. Your day-to-day QOL at work will never drastically increase, and the only way you will get paid more than the airlines is if they take pay cuts.
