I have this same conversation with just about every line captain I fly with. Just about everyone knows this place sucks. Everyone that I know who’s at a mainline job, or even just any place besides a regional, says that life is so much better and checkrides and examiners are easier and a less stressful experience. The overarching theme is that they want to help you succeed and will do everything they can to push you through, assuming you don’t suck really badly.
The personalities of the ones at PSA who can control the rest of your career is strange. I can sense a lot of pent up anger from many of the examiners and it makes me wonder why many of these guys stayed at a regional for their whole careers. I do not want to risk getting JC or some other rogue examiner on the next go, and then they happen to wake up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. I’m getting outta here asap.
Lol, took you forever to realize this…..
