I will comment on this thread. I went through training last year, and it seems the training department has done a complete 180 compared to what the website talks about. It was still difficult and thorough, but every instructor and APD I had, it felt like they were on my side. Everyone else in my class had the same experience that I had. It seems like they have gotten rid of the bad apples in the training department and revamped the entire program.
When I went through upgrade training I heard the company was forced to have an honest, sit down conversation with the guy and gave him an ultimatum of some sorts. “Either you clean up your act, or you’re outta here. Can’t have this horrible look on us.” Don’t quote me on that, but an instructor said something to that effect. Based on hearing what other people have said who had JC for their checkrides, it sounds like he’s made a complete 180 turnaround. Which is good, but it’s unfortunate that it took a website to get the company to finally look into this guy.
I had an absolutely terrible instructor during sips who was similar to JC in his ways. Has a terrible reputation in the company. Thankfully, the company removed him from the training department and put him back on the line. This is great for students, but still really really sucks for FO’s who have to fly with him. That’s gotta be an extremely looonngg 4 day. I’d imagine a lot of people probably call sick when he’s on their schedule.

I am waiting to hit mins but interviewed last year. I have spoken to a guy who just went through class over the 25/26 holiday. I had the same concerns. Post Covid they apparently worked on their training dept. He said the pass rate for November was 90+ percent and their December class was 100%.

Having said that, just because the company has improved their training department, and flushed many of the old turds down the toilet that used to be here, doesn’t mean it’s not demanding training. You still gotta come with your game face on. Each and every day. Especially if this is your first airline job. Come prepared, study, ask questions if you don’t know something or get hung up on, and you’ll be fine. Congrats on your CJO!

Majors should be 99% +. Even at that level there's always some rando who slipped through the cracks at previous jobs, or the odd fighter pilot who wants to fly the whole jet himself and can't adapt to Crew.

Just went through training, and I can confidently say the rumors about training don’t holds up anymore.
The instructors were all fantastic. Not one of my classmates complained about one. They will go seriously out of their way to help you out and genuinely care about your success.
I don’t want to say the pass rate, but it’s high, and you should not have an issue unless you were one of those people that struggled really hard on all your certs.
