No Mention Of The Concessions In TA1
Earlier today, the MEC received the results of the telephone survey conducted from August 10th through August 23rd. The MEC will receive a comprehensive briefing from our polling expert on Tuesday. The phone survey had an impressive 96% response rate, solidifying the fact that pilots are eager to participate and ensuring the accuracy of our findings. Additionally, we are in the process of preparing a web-based survey that will allow everyone in the pilot group to participate and will drill down on specific areas for improvement you have identified in the phone survey. As bargaining resumes, you can expect future surveys that capture the changing business and economic environments.
The survey underscored the need to address Scope, Pay, and the Amendable Period Recovery Payment while also recognizing that Retirement remains a significant area of focus. These survey results provide us with the initial data required to take the next steps as we prepare to re-engage with the NMB and reinitiate bargaining.
It has been said that you achieve what you can negotiate, not what you deserve. We cannot achieve what we deserve without working together and the full support of the membership.
Lets it be clear to the MEC/NC, any concessions is an automatic NO vote. If they think they’re going to do a quick fix on what’s mentioned in their message and expect it to pass, then we will be working on TA3 before you know it. I’ll wait as long as it take to fix that mess.
