The CBA is crystal clear on this subject: it's first-come, first-serve--period. It doesn't specify any exceptions or modifiers regarding what methods or means a pilot uses to be "the first."
If the company dips their toe into defining what methods are "acceptable" vs. "not acceptable" re: picking up trips on Flica, they're going to end up spending hundreds of hours of time and effort (and thus money) refereeing disputes between individual pilots who are using various methods to gain a temporal edge.
I've never used a bot in my life, nor would I ever (too afraid of being accused of lacking integrity and getting into trouble). But I completely understand why the company is staying out of the weeds on this subject, especially when they don't even own the IT infrastructure on which any of these transactions take place.
And in lieu of all of that they’ll just fire said pilot for being logged into flica while their “bot” on the ground picks something up!
