With their past history still haunting them they seem to be in decline or just treading water with not enough captains. I noticed they are still advertising on their website they have 50 jets and expanding to 74. There is a reference to summer of 22 with this statement. The core management team at Go Jet is still the original TSA bunch so this would explain a lot about their present state. I believe the 550 has a weight problem which restricts the distance it can fly. I think it limits their fuel load and is related to a scope issue so not going away anytime soon. Maybee someone with current knowledge can expand on that. But if the 550 was going to be a successful product it would have grown to the 74 by now with further additions planned. So, it would seem Go Jet is not a very successful airline after losing its contract with Delta due to poor on time service and cancelations. If I were a new ATP just arriving on the seen I would not go there with all the past and present history of the airline. All regionals have a reputation of abusing their employees it's just that Go Jet seems to be better at that than most.
This airline was formed as a scab entity which seems to have faded away with time. Yet they are still struggling with the basic structure of a successful airline. Maybee a little karma is still hanging around? Wonder if any mainline guys are still denying jump seats to Go Jet guys? Used to be some carried a list of Go Jet pilots so they could look them up. You must have done something really bad if you are treated like this by your fellow pilots. I don't know but they seem to have really ticked off quite a few people as we hear from them on this site. All in all, the past history is water under the bridge as pilots retire and new pilots don't relate to the scab undertaking. I get it that people are just trying to feed their families and they are not concerned with all of the past. But the present at Go Jet does not look like the growing airline management is posting on their website either. As long as RL and HK are still making the culture at Go Jet, I would try my best to avoid them.
Not sure what the future holds but it's been very fun flying here, flying a lot. New guys have no wait for IOE and get their consolidation no problem right now.
