The NC spooked most of our group into taking the first offer, and assuaged the fears of those who were on the fence with this bites of the apple nonsense. We have nothing left to sell to the company that would bolster the deal we got suckered into last January. Now the MEC’s move is withhold supporting the merger (really?) in hopes that Robin and the gang will throw us a bone between a possible positive court outcome and the JCBA. It’s not the strongest position to negotiate from.
I just think it's a dumb position. If withholding support for the merger (to pressure a raise prior to JCBA) ends up being the straw that breaks the camels back, and the merger ends up being blocked in part because of it, I don't think that will prove to be a wise decision.
