You can kick and scream all you want, but replacing the MEC won’t do anything. I can’t believe you would think that would matter.

Put yourself in TC’s position. He already raised pilot pay once to stem attrition. If it didn’t help then why would he raise pay again?

All a new MEC can do is ASK for more money. That’s it.

I get that you’re upset, but I think you’re focusing on the wrong end of the formula. If you want a fast change in your situation the best thing as others have said is to leave and go elsewhere. If you want to stick it out here, I do fully think it will get better, but it’s not a quick fix and replacing the MEC going into a merger is irresponsible and selfish in my view.
Raise awareness to who, you ask. I dont know. I'm not the one who sends an email to the Pilot group emphasizing the perceived plight the Company and pilot group faces. I also never said I was unhappy or upset, but like other professional pilots in our industry I want to be competitive in compensation and work rules in the "ever-evolving landscape and rapid and profound changes" as stated in the email. An email that would also suggest that that we would need a LOA to address these issues similar to Jblue. Yes the company knows the info and the pilots are aware of the situation, so what is the point of the email to pilot group other than reinforce the fact that we are now on the bottom tier in relation to our peers at other airlines? Or is it to state that the negotiating committee failed and came in very low "in a ever-evolving rapidly changing landscape" and refused to go back to the table after other airlines came out with their TAs that were much better than ours. Instead of re-polling the pilot group they chose to hard sell us to take the deal.
