Yea, MPJ I hear you. But, funny thing is.....I once flew with a FO who had a wife with a spending problem and he lamented that he could never get any extra time. I told him I had some techniques and he was all ears. This type of thing happened more than once.
Never underestimate some peoples unwillingness to learn, internalize lessons/input or be curious about things that can materially affect their life.
Something about a horse and water comes to mind. But I do understand your concern even though it was somewhat tongue in cheek

I flew with an older CA once who complained about the trips and the days of work. I asked if he'd ever bad day, worse day swap. He literally always just flew his awarded line. He hadn't. I tried explaining it to him but he changed the subject within a minute.
