Everytime I've been there fewer than 50% would even call on frequency they're coming or going. I've been nose to nose several times with someone who isnt in the frequency at all.
the ramp was needed for that reason IMO
now hopefully if you're sitting there at the gate waiting for a pushback clearance the cpt releases the brake so you start getting paid
