I trust taxi lines I'm familiar with. But if the other guy isn't on his precisely, or it's a line I'm less familiar with, or it's particularly dark/stormy, I'm gonna sit there not moving if I feel like it. If junior doesn't like it, he's welcome to get the f off my airplane at the nearest stop. That said, I've never had an issue big enough with my partner from either seat in over 25 years for me to have to push that decision.

with all the new ramp personal I've seen a lot of planes pushed past their spot leaving the tail well into the taxi lanes at all airlines.
