I start class in June and need some input. I just got an email this week confirming the 900. How long is training going to take? My brother is getting married in September and I would like to be there (Hawaii !!). Also, I am living near Dayton, OH and am hoping for DTW. Is DTW still the junior base? What are my chances of being based there? How long is reserve looking? I got a packet in the mail that I have read front to back. It is now $60 roundtrip for immediate family to travel? What is the international fee? When do travel benefits start for myself as well as my family? I am sorry for all the questions but am rather uncertain of a lot of information I would like to obtain. I started upgrade Jan 21, Completed sims March 28. I am still in the IOE process, supposedly will be done by the end of this month... Hard to say where you will be based because we are just about done with the hiring. So where you go you might be staying for quite a while, but I'd say you have a decent shot at DTW. Travel benefits should start as soon as you get registered in the system. Shouldn't be more than a few days after starting class. You/wife/kids should be free domestic travel in coach, your parents I believe it's $30 per leg, in laws are not eligible to travel. No idea what it costs to go international, never had enough time or money to try.
