I interviewed at UAL annd DAL and sat the jumpseat on everyone. The cultures and happiness levels at certain airlines almost beats you in the face. Some airlines have more unionized labor than others and some work groups work in fear of getting fired. The welcome to interview email at delta is LONG and cold while United’s was three paragraphs and welcoming. I would rather work with people who aren’t so uptight and can actually enjoy what we do. The ex-northwest guys at delta are a different breed but few and far between. Culture is very real.
