I am having some difficulties in being considered by United Airlines, although my flight experience is more than required, and it appears to be higher than most applicants nowadays. I paid for a professional service to review and improve my resume, and I have worked with Emerald Coast to clean up my answers for my interviews.
Previously, I interviewed with another major, and I am waiting for the class date. But after I got a better overall view of the current aviation industry, I believe that United Airlines is a better fit as type of flying and domiciles. I am pondering whether if I start with the other major, I should bite the bullet and stay to build seniority, or if I have any chance of receiving the assessment from United Airlines before I make the move.
I know some other pilots in my very same position, and since we are all currently working as captains for SkyWest Airlines, it feels like we are back to one-two years ago, when metering seemed to be at its worst.
