I got a friend of mine from OO who had just upgraded and had barely 100 hrs in the left seat a meet and greet with my base chief. He got an interview invite a week later and was in class 6 weeks after that. If you know someone here that feels strongly enough about you to go with you to the CP meet and it goes well it can be a game changer.
Can be 100% a game changer, unfortunately there's been a slew of CP meet and greets that end up being duds and no one really knows why. Could be inter CPO politics, or lack of consistent expectation and prioritization of Meet and greets across all the CPOs etc.
With a job fair, it's an applicant directly making the connection to a Hiring team member.
