I wouldn't say it's fear mongering, i would say it is a distinct possibility. Teddy even testified to this possibility in the hearing if im not mistaken. We have also asked for voluntary leaves and early outs for administrative folks. I believe the FAs were offered voluntary leaves as well. Our product is on a downward trend, and not just the fall slow down.
As far as the quotes I could find he only mentioned that we haven't turned a proffit in 3 years. Unless you can find something else that I am missing. Point being, the companies financials is their problem, not ours. Wether its a CBA with JB or NK the companies financial outlook is none of my concern. I didn't set the current market for pilot compensation. They don't get a discount on fuel and A/C orders because of their financial situation. So why should they get a discount on pilots? Certainly Ted aint getting a discount on his compensation. I know pilots like to act like we know everything but the only people that truely know are on the board and up in that c suite. So us freaking out about it 24/7 only helps management out when it comes JCBA or CBA time down the road.
