This is not completely true. Anytime you are coming off a day other than a non-fly day you get the 1800 report protection. If a REG pilot finishes a trip on the last day of the bid period that is not a non-fly day. Also, any day that contains training (primarily this will be CQ), is also not a non-fly day and gets protection.
Is REG spillover not counting as a non-fly day confirmed?
Scenario: December spill trip lands at 0500 on January 1st.
Does this mean the earliest you could be assigned something, if bidding RES for January, is 1800 on the 2nd?
