well. I knew a bunch of guys that were *****ing about not being able to vote on the contract. They were all sending sound offs demanding a voice. All this crap about prior experience and not needing a year to have a voice. Leadership listened. They got to vote and pay dues.
I agree. It’s dumb as hell but it wasn’t the union trying to fleece new hires. It was the best solution they could come up with to allow a vote.
Much like the **** trip trade system we have. Pilots demanded that crap too.
