I have a buddy at United who’s based in Orlando, does all his flying out of the Tampa co domicile.
he gets nearly an additional 300$ each pairing that he starts out of Tampa. Naturally he does all day trips now. Curious to see if we have something like that in our co domicile section
In short, there are three components to the "double-town" pay: 1. mileage, 2. drive time, and 3. per diem.
1. Mileage under current book is reimbursed at
"company policy" rate which is IRS mileage rate of 65.5¢/mile. MCO-TPA clocks in at 184 round trip.
$120.52
2. Drive Time in the new book will be multiplied by $30/hr. 2.5 hrs each way, 5 hour round trip MCO-TPA yields $150.
3. Per Diem uses the same drive time time as above.
Assuming 5 hours × new rate of $2.85 yields $14.25.
Total "double town" pay = $284.77
