Nope, I'd say you are doing it right. I'm looking forward to upgrade here in a few months and plan to maybe bid reserve for the reasons you mentioned although I commute. I'm tired of hustling as an FO, having to fly weekends for GS etc. 80-85 sounds perfect. Ill be sitting in the mid 50s on the A side so hopefully I can hold weekday reserve.
Yeah, I definitly don't mean any of that as a complaint - just a snapshot for expectation management.
72 hours as a NB Capt is equivalent pay as ~106 as an FO, and 80 is more like ~118. You rationale was
exactly the same reason I decided to take the upgrade. You'll love it, and never look back. Enjoy it.
