Actually, I think the writing is on the wall that the pilot shortage has stabilized. I dont think we are in as competitive of a market as we were say a year ago, hence why I wished they filed for mediation sooner. All of that is besides the point in that hiring has slowed everywhere. In addition, this isnt a complete concession, the company had to offer a lot of stuff to get SWAPA to agree to it and honestly, I think making this work is what ultimantly wrapped up the contract and pushed it to a TA.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the co-terminals whenever they happen will end up being like ETOPS or flights with an international layover - a junior person may get a crack at them very early on, but within a few months, good luck getting one between commuters generally getting way more options commuting and the locals who may prefer the co-terminal for whatever reason.
I also recall a co-terminal question asked in the last poll SWAPA put out, and I answered it. I presume everyone who took the poll answered it as well. SWAPA touts itself, and I have no reason to doubt them, as a data-driven organization. I definitely trust SWAPA's polling more than I trust a group of APC "profession defenders."
Agreed. I think these co-terminals will go senior once everyone figures them out. Hell if I can get a premium ride to/from work for a slightly longer drive, sign me up. Plus as mentioned earlier I think there are enough pilots that live north of MDW/HOU/DAL that will gladly take lines at their respective co-terminals.
This will be a big fat nothing burger for most of the pilots out there and a huge win for the ones that it helps.
