I have to say, I don’t know how pilots today go right from ASEL to crew jet airplanes. It’s a huge leap. Back in my day we flew cancelled checks at night part 135 and then maybe went and flew 19 seat turboprops with no autopilot for many years before setting foot in our first jet. Each step prepared us for the next.
Have you considered a carrier like Ameriflight that still flies Beech 1900s, Metros, and Saabs? It’s a great bridge to jet flying and also sets you apart from the RJ crowd. You’ll have better stories to tell at your major airline interview.
