-20 in ATL hurts. I thought it would be more like 10-15. Good news, is that I am pretty sure most of those 20 on each side are already going to some of the new bases, so it shouldn't be too bad.

MCO is a slap in the face though, many uprooted or already lived there. Same with TPA.
The logistical challenge of opening new bases with our current resources is the quintessential “put an elephant in a refrigerator”. The pilots have their complex and mathematically sound way of doing it to decrease all the negatives to themselves which will take time and money, but management has done what management will always do, which is to simply show Crew Planning the elephant and the impossibly small refrigerator, and then walk away to have the system churn. This is the emotionless pushing of toy soldiers across the map.
Management is taking the stance of planting its flags with minimal troops to establish new bases, which, as it uproots pilots from their stable lives leads to headaches, low morale, commuting chaos, and a pretty bad work relation with the Union. This is literally the military’s way of invading enemy territory at an equal loss of troops and morale.

For a lot of us, this is going to be the darkest years of our Frontier careers; a lot of us, myself included, will be displaced or take a forced downgrade and we’ll be doing it for half the pay of other airlines that aren’t jerking pilots around. The biggest question is whether the juice will be worth the squeeze once we have some stability and a new contract in # years.

Before anybody poopoos the idea of our airline being successful after these next # years, I want to hear what your plan to accomplish what our airline wants and what our union wants into one plan. So far, nobody has shown us what success looks like for both entities without heartaches. Again, the airline has its goals, and our union has its goals, what’s in the center of that Venn diagram? If anybody says “nothing” I’ll push back because at the end of the day I’ve been happy for the last five years here, so this isn’t the worst job in the industry.
