Default Displacements

Considering the absence of new hires, it appears upgrades to staff at CVG and ORD/MDW may be limited, potentially resulting in further involuntary displacements. Has anyone been in ground school recently, maybe Brad hinted where these involuntary displacements would be coming from?

Cheers to the “fastest growing airline”

Growing pains would be an understatement. I was under the impression MCO was about to condense. Just rumor and conjecture from a recent class. God help us if it’s more Denver.

I'm just guessing here. Have no real rumors or insider info this time.

I think we will see a reduction in multiple bases to fill Chicago and Cincinnati.

Both of those cities are served from every domicile so i could see a small shrinking of numerous bases instead of one big whack like we saw in Vegas with the opening of CLE.

My guess is something like -10 from the big domiciles (MCO, LAS, DEN) and then -5 from the smaller bases.

Little by little I get pushed down the seniority list until I get shoved out the bottom in one of these displacements. Thanks a lot Barry. This is a hoot. What a great way to add stress to everyone's life.

Hoot, that’s going to be the name of the owl on ship 641. Just for you. Barry could not care less about your life.

I foresee larger displacements from MCO and possibly some more from LAS, then seeing some small displacements from ATL, PHL and DEN.

But I know A LOT of people are already willing to leave ATL to go to CHI willingly, so im not sure what will happen.

I do foresee a lot of west coast commuters having to travel farther east though

Not sure why some of you assume MCO is getting the chop. BL said they aren't shrinking it and the February block and bid packet don't reflect a softening schedule.

Granted I generally don't believe anything management says and they can shift MCO flying to the new bases so it is possible. Guess we'll find out in a few weeks. Not looking forward to it at all..

My only reasoning is BB said Vegas and MCO were over capacity and we already saw Vegas get a haircut.

Transcontinental commuting to day turns in outstation bases. OUCH!

I’m out west and the morale in LAS has certainly reached an all time low since I started here.
