I think ol' biffle is trying to get a profitable bottom line going even if it's unsustainable to sell the airline.

Regarding "trans cons"
What trans cons are folks talking about? PHL to LAS is not a transcon, in the pure Big-3 sense of the term.
PHL to SFO, yes
and yes, the displacements will suck.
commuting LAS to CLE will suck harder. 4 hour commute ? Really Barry?
Looks like "own metal" Frontier CEASES (temporarily or otherwise) LAS to CLE in April 2024.
There are NO [Any city farther west of DEN] to SJU's nonstop, on any airline.
Soon, commuting will be multi-leg and/or involve flying freighters to get into a "base"

PHX will not escape unscathed. BB changes his mind like the shifting wind. Open a base close a base open it again. Grow a base shrink it. Buy out spirit, don't buy spirit. Grow the airline shrink the airline. Multi day trips mostly day turns. I fear PHX may close soon. Nothing can be depended on at frontier.

Denver is Denver - not a whole lot of movement there. LAS and PHX will become more senior. People who live W will flow to places like CVG or CHI. ATL, PHL and possibly TPA will see movement as CHI people flow back there. Transcon commuting will only happen if displaced from a west coast base as we open more eastern and central bases. Still don't know how SJU will work (if it becomes a pilot base at all).
In the next few, lots of movement will mean lots of discord but more bases will actually be better in the long run.

Bases are not going to close. They will probably ALL shrink (or right size) as we open new bases. The Allegiant model of basing and day turns is obviously the direction we're headed - whether we get there completely is another story.

I hope we see another west coast base or two. But I really just want to see the growth and have an idea of what the track of the company is looking like. BB can tell investors one thing and send us videos telling us how well we are doing (which in all honesty, our last month has been very good performance wise compared to even just 6 months ago), but I want a new management team that will come in and actually bring the airline together and get people on board instead of telling us to smile while we watch contract employees disrespect paying customers and wait for 45 minutes for gates after doing our best to be on time or early, all while the stock dove to its lowest point ever. (Thank god I bought 200 shares at 3.50.)
