I will take a delay and move weights around to have a jumpseater on my plane, but it would be hard to explain why I let someone on despite that he is not on the list of approved carriers.
Various random cats and dogs seem to think that CASS is a free pass, without any actual agreements or FOM authorization.
I admit that in the past I've allowed a couple in the cabin, after the gate gave them a JS card, but even that may not be a good idea. So yeah I've done it, but I can't swear I'm totally comfortable with it. It's probably a good enough defense that the gate gave them a pass, at that point it's not cockpit security but rather cabin nonrev policy.
I've also had 135 (fractional?) people show up with CASS but no reciprocal and tell me that their company wants them to JS to get into position... those I denied. Not going out on a limb to help someone help their company to better compete with my company.
