I have both Mac and PC, does anyone have experience with both? Import simplicity, general simplicity, night auto time calculations (if possible), etc. and perhaps either matching up with time grids for AA or UA applicatoiins with their reports.
I used to use Logbook Pro, but switched to LogTen several years ago.

Pros for Logbook Pro:
- not a subscription model (at least when I used it last, that may have changed)
- more flexibility in building complex currencies

Pros for LogTen:
- much better support (Logbook Pro used to have great support, but not so much anymore)
- Desktop, iPhone, and iPad versions that automatically sync. This was why I switched a few years ago.
- much better user interface
- frequent updates to fix bugs and add features
- better built in reports, and if you’re technical you can create your own (I wish this was easier, but it’s basically HTML with some custom markup code.)
- If you log your Out and In times it automatically figures out block time and night time based on time zone. Easy to configure to automatically fill in various fields
- Has preset configs for different flight roles (e.g. CFI, 121 CA or FO, etc) which you can then tweak for your own needs including custom fields.

if I wasn’t flying for a living I might reconsider paying the LogTen subscription. As it is, the annual fee is worth it to me.
