It wouldn't be crazy to think Airbus is definitely motivated to keep their foot as far into the door at United as they can. While United's 321 deliveries seem small compared the 737 deliveries, the A321 deliveries alone are larger than most other airlines in the world.

You're assuming Spirit's slots are assignable by Spirit. They might not be.
