You are way over thinking this. Many business professionals are directed by their companies to fly for business, and they keep the frequent flyer miles (and even hotel points) as an earned benefit of their business travel. This is a frequent, often standard, practice in the corporate world. It’s not unique to FedEx professional pilots.
Let’s keep the professional pilot bar high.
