rest of the time probably just kick it on beach.
other ideas welcome.
In Destin harbor any of the seafood places will be good. Overpriced for tourists, but fresh and delicious. Boshamps is my favorite, but any of the Dewey Destin's are great too. For brunch hit up Cappricios or East Pass coffee. If you want to drive east Ruby Slipper's baytowne location (I'm not a fan of the Destin location), maple street biscuit company and big bad breakfast are great too. Harry T's on the harbor's brunch isn't the best and it isn't cheap, but it has a great view of the entrance of the harbor. Keep going east to check out 30A to Alys Beach is good scenery and people watching and some boutique shopping spots for the .00001%, and the state parks over there have cool views of the Dune Lakes which are great for paddle boarding. For drinks try Idyll Hounds, Grayton Brewery, Craft Bar, 3rd Planet in Niceville, and the best cocktails around are at Bitterroot. The Henderson has a rooftop bar non-guests can visit that has great sunset views but very, very average drinks. Usually we grab a drink at the far better bar downstairs in the lobby and just take it up to the roof. Depending on how the weather is a fishing charter is always a good bet, there's a couple world class fisheries and Destin has the largest charter fleet in the country. Pontoons to crab island can be fun and can offer everything from a family friendly hangout away from the crowds to spring break rowdiness depending on where you anchor. I'd much rather do the tiki hut boats though. Don't bother with the dolphin cruises, you can see plenty from the bridge and harbor.
