Yes, having one aisle makes things tight, but we do flights now that are almost as long as DEN-HNL and, to my knowledge, nobody is complaining. People see a nonstop flight and a fare...most of the rest doesn't really matter to 99 percent of folks except maybe bag fees.
Not even sure how you can defend a 737 over a 777 middle seat. Not even close, you can go either direction with an extra aisle. Plus the benefit of not having to make a tech stop to switch pilots.
