every time I’ve looked at booking on Southwest it’s $300+ 1 way. It’s not cheaper than any legacy carrier - AA tends to be cheapest for a ticket.

flying 7.5 hours with no meal service sounds miserable (for pax and crew) or an option for something more than pretzels is not the way to go. I’m sure people will have connections and not have time to grab a bite to eat before hopping on. I think people won’t be repeat customers for that long of a flight based on what’s offered, unless it’s significantly cheaper than a legacy doing the route…
