flying 7.5 hours with no meal service sounds miserable (for pax and crew) or an option for something more than pretzels is not the way to go. I’m sure people will have connections and not have time to grab a bite to eat before hopping on. I think people won’t be repeat customers for that long of a flight based on what’s offered, unless it’s significantly cheaper than a legacy doing the route…

Our Hawaii flights already make money.

The inner island flights aren’t full, but look at the belly cargo upload the next time you’re out there.

The flights out are packed and the fares aren’t cheap. For whatever reason, they’re working. There’s a snack box that is on par with what you’d have to buy in economy on United, but everyone gets one included with the price of their ticket.

I’m far from a company fan boy, but railing against us making a successful go of moving bodies from the west coast to da islands isn’t going to get much traction with me. The leisure market is there. The max 7 expands that market.

Piling capacity and new gateways into Hawaii is a smart move, if Boeing can get their scheisse in one sock. I’m sure there’s some VP of Crew Rest facilities making 400k a year plus RSUs to figure out how to do it from Denver if we ever get this albatross flying.
