Friendly Pilot, I believe the leases from the Bunsiness Insider article were A321s. So, maybe you called it. UAL might be looking to buy the A320s JB and Spirit left on the table AND looking to replace Max 10s with A321s on lease (in the short run anyways) until UAL can receieve the Max 10s at a later date. This would keep United Next moving forward while sorting out a long-term solution.
