The A230-300 could fit the SW model but is on the small side. At the moment it does not seem likely Airbus will build the A220-500. They don't want to compete with themselves.
The A220-300 is exactly the size airplane that SWA needs to replace about 400 old -700NGs. The indefinite delay of the MAX7 is hurting us.
SWA took a hard look at the A220 before deciding on the MAX7. That much is known, so they have in the past had an interest in it.
Something that never gets mentioned is if Breeze’s future options and orders can be converted to the -100 model as that would probably have a place in our system as well. I’m guessing they’d seat around 110-120 in our configuration.
