Now they put a rotation on my schedule (I have not acknowledged it) for tomorrow that reports at 0715. Are they just baiting me to see if I'll take it? Or am I still on LC even though I'm within my rest window for the fatigue call?
This is a grey area that I’ve been wondering about. I’ve seen fatigue calls where the pilot stays on LC but just isn’t eligible to report for any assignment until their R&R time. On reserve I don’t know if the company is required to actually put you into rest or just release you from duty. If they do put you into rest and the rest is less than 24 hours then that is not considered a non-fly day, so you can’t be made to report before 18 hours from the end of rest. I’d probably ask this question on the scheduling FB page or even call the 117 helpline to get more official guidance.
