I actually have a friend being investigated right now for literally doing nothing but checking it a lot and crushing senior guys on the time stamp over and over. They even got it so far that they got PNP included in the contract in 2015 to try and help them get trips. Then they got killed on the time stamp with faster guys armed with PNP so they had PM negotiate it to expire!
The same senior folks that will throw your a$$ under the bus on work rules and career earnings for their $39k a year in TA1. They even started a text group to wank in public. It's literally the same guys. And don't let their wanking and lies fool you. They are woefully in the minority. And they can't win a time stamp battle to save their lives lol.
The reason guys can't pick up open time trips and they go automatically to reserves is they claim they are overmanned and need to justify reserve utilization so they don't furlough. I vehemently disagree with the concept, but there are two sides to this. Pretty sweet you point this back to some wolf pack fallacy again.
So all wolfpack-ers are all junior, interesting ? Someone, sounds a bit triggered by the potential that these "practices" are apparently under the microscope again.
BTW it sure appears that the packers have graduated from being the "fastest finger in the west" to constantly benefitting from UFB revisions, extensions and in some cases miracously being revised to DH back to base, many times at the expense of another pilot who gets stuck with a revision to an operational leg to base that the packer didn't want...how else do they cut day(s) off trips and keep getting picked up by the porsche at the gate?
If it is a simple as you say then I guess we will once again see nothing happen to punish the players or change the game(s) so no need to throw around junior v senior or fast v slow or old v young, give me a break bruh.
