Definitely go. The SIC program is a pretty good deal. You get paid to build your time. the rate is 7.69 per hour (rig hour not flight hour). Generally people sic on runs that either have a lot of flying or are somewhere they can live for cheap. flying over 100 hours a month is pretty common for an sic. Also you dont log SIC time so forget the argument about worthless sic time in the baron. Its all Total time. I think the experience you will get is the best possible to prepare you for single pilot IFR when you get your mins. You'll will have already been through a lot with someone who can show you the right way to do things so when you get on your own its not as much a mystery. If youre sweating the midnight trans con flight followed by an all day interview I'd say leave a day early the hotel is good for 24 hours anyway so it wont cost any more and you wont be delirious trying to fly a SE ILS in a touchy sim. If nothing else you'll get to practice interviewing. Its a skill and its the only part of our job we never really get trained to do so I'd say go for it.
