From asking around, people not that far ahead of you (including myself) in seniority that are able to hold it on the "what if" are only checking to see what they're able to hold without any intention of leaving the bid in. The other issue is that while you may have the 121 time required to upgrade, a lot of people at <14 months seniority do not just because this is their first airline so it'll be an issue sooner than later, if not on this bid.
The only reference I can find so far is 24.E.3. It looks like it would go to new hire pilots similar to what UA currently offers. But after that I can find no reason to prohibit the company from imposing involuntary upgrades. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.
