Right, and now the LEC 165 reps are going to set us back on a contract because they want to remove the experience on the NC. It takes over a year to spin somebody up on the NC. And their strategy? Go in with an absurd ask, get turned down, and say "We tried" to the NMB.
That's not how it works. These fools in 165 are going to cost you money, but they don't care. They are senior DEN guys. They just want to fluff themselves up and say "We saved the union" by tearing it up and setting us back.

Sensible officers and pilots know this. And polling data overwhelmingly supports the NC. 165 needs to be recalled, and fast.

It’s a small part of that larger issue. Some of the problem reps have convinced their constituents there’s a ton of leverage with aqp and it’s getting parroted on here. Read the MM letter and it will make more sense.

AQP is leverage but it’s not end all be all that’s for sure.

If I understand correctly, the company could implement AQP without an LOA but they couldn't do training in other domiciles without it?

Obviously the benefit to the pilot group of an AQP LOA is protections for us in taking training and the company can save money on training locations.

I can't see this having nearly enough leverage to bring the company to the table for a new contract.

It’s 1-2 million annual savings to the company. Both sides agree on that number so that’s the leverage 2 million tops. This opening up recurrent training outside den comes from a sec 6 neg on sec 11. That obviously won’t happen until a contract is ratified.

I muddies the waters a bit trying to get pilots to read contractual language and stimulate a conversation.

Is someone already setting these wheels in motion or not? TB seemed to be headed that way.

I read the above and thought "Do senior Denver guys really just want to fluff themselves up?" They're gonna stall negotiations in what is obviously on purpose so that they feel better about themselves or can say they saved the union? That doesn't make sense.

I'd love to hear their viewpoint on this...
