The E3s at CommuteAir are the reason they were able to do any hiring at all over these last few years. Because of their visa tying them to C5, they were practically the only ones who stayed around to upgrade, otherwise new hires would have had nobody to fly with
This is not an E3-bashing at all. Was mentioning only one in particular that did what they needed to do in order to advance themselves. Nothing new to the industry. The "tying to C5," an absolute dependance on visa renewal to remain employed in the US, is a blatant conflict of interest for the pilot group when it comes to matters of official negotiation. That shouldn't have to be explained. The company picked up on that opportunity and will try to ride it into the next slump. I don't blame C5 for that. Regarding having "no one" to fly with-That's leverage. That's income. That's negotiation time. However, that time was wasted through stalling, and they found their man that would do it for them.
