Council specific business is not really a thing. With easy base movement via monthly AEs and home locations everywhere with 50ish percent (or more??) commuters, council changing is relatively easy. That said C44 has and will dominante DALPA. I would really like to see the C44 house in order for the good of us all. If a rep is a chronic no-show they need to be relieved of thier duty. C44 can/has/will call for roll call votes when it suits thier purpose so everyone has a vested interest in C44. Other councils have to band together to take action on the MEC and are at an inherent disadvantage. Poor reps in C44 affects us all. Anyone not showing up or not subscribing to the principals of trade unionism needs to go. Our strength comes as a collective and a leadership that views management as a benevolent authority or class peer undermines that strength.
