I believe they tried, and there was no compatible date. Not sure if the funds had an expiration date, such that it could slip only so far.

Plus, and here is the bonus, if you had all your reps recalled, there is no one left in the council to run it. That means no business gets done. No meetings, no pilot representation, nothing. 5000+ pilots. You think any of the other reps have spare time to come and represent ATL pilots? Alternatively, someone in the MEC office could put everything else on hold while they do it. This isn’t some abstraction, there are pilots with real issues that need to be solved on a daily basis.
In this case, someone from National has to appoint someone to run an election for interim reps. So now we’re into October….maybe November.
All while a regular election is in process.
That seems like a whole lot of wasted effort, when you can simply not vote for any of them who choose to run again.

If it was successful, and it seems like you wanted it to be, you would have run the recall election while the election for the regular term was on going. If that went that way, it would mean another meeting where interim reps were elected. No proxies at that one, so let’s see who shows up.

For those who want the play by play on the LEC 81 recall paperwork problems, the LEC 81 council sent out a detailed letter.
TLDR; Some appeals are going on.
Better than even chance he gets reinstated, and the whole process would have to start again like it was day one.

The conundrum is, line pilots that are happy with more time off and 70 hours of pay/month are not necessarily the guys I would want to represent me.
The guys that are "go get-ers" being paid 125hrs/month don't want to take the pay cut but seem to have an affinity to maximize the system(sometimes at a cost to QOL)
Who would represent the pilots best intrests? The "Hard Charger", or the "It's enough I'm all about QOL"?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Each pilots answer is different.
BTW...more insignificant data points. I commuted, flew relatively few GS, worked 15 days a month and averaged 125-130ish hours of pay/month for my last 10 years and 3 different bases and 2 different planes. My 2 very closet friends...relatively new, average 110hrs a month pay.
Some pilots have enough $$$ and want more time off, some have enough time off and want more $$$, and some pilots want to "optimize" both. I would preder the optimizer....but they would prolly not be interested.
