What was questionable?
If it was successful, and it seems like you wanted it to be, you would have run the recall election while the election for the regular term was on going. If that went that way, it would mean another meeting where interim reps were elected. No proxies at that one, so let’s see who shows up.

Plus, and here is the bonus, if you had all your reps recalled, there is no one left in the council to run it. That means no business gets done. No meetings, no pilot representation, nothing. 5000+ pilots. You think any of the other reps have spare time to come and represent ATL pilots? Alternatively, someone in the MEC office could put everything else on hold while they do it. This isn’t some abstraction, there are pilots with real issues that need to be solved on a daily basis.

In this case, someone from National has to appoint someone to run an election for interim reps. So now we’re into October….maybe November.

All while a regular election is in process.

That seems like a whole lot of wasted effort, when you can simply not vote for any of them who choose to run again.
