Shenanigans! I've flown both aircraft, and while the CRJ is certainly more fuel efficient, the difference is marginal. The performance of the two aircraft are similar. As others have said the Embraer numbers seem to be very conservative. I flew the CRJ at Comair who used conservative numbers as well, I'm guessing Mesaba is using the factory numbers?
